I find tutoring an activity I look forward to. Fairly talkative, I can take time to open up to, but my full attention is always on my students. I often prefer a step by step problem-solving approach and tend to use analogies to teach concepts, which help simplify terms into things that students unfamiliar with them can understand. When tutoring, I help with algebra, pre-calculus, calculus, trigonometry, biology, chemistry, and physics. I studied biochemistry at the University of California - Riverside and received a Bachelor of Science in the field when I graduated. Even while in college, I would tutor my peers and even students at the high school level. Teaching is therefore something that has come natural and which I want to continue to do privately. Mathematics and science were always my strong points, especially biology and chemistry. In college I had also taken part in club activities and community service. Since graduation, my goals have shifted. I'm currently studying for the MCAT to pursue getting into medical school. Living in Riverside has been good for me. I've been busy with studying and tutoring but enjoy video games, playing tennis, jogging, and spending time with my friends when I have the chance.
