I have great appreciation for education and its relevance to our daily lives. I recently graduated from University of California Riverside with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. I am the first college graduate in my family and it is a privilege and an honor for me. I worked hard to make a difference in my life and plan to continue doing so for others in a tutoring role. As an immigrant to the United States I worked through many struggles and challenges, including not speaking English or having any social relationships outside of family. With a steadfast support group, however, I succeeded. I realize the difficulties inherent in education and appreciate the overwhelming feeling that comes with accomplishing our dreams. As a professional tutor I have the opportunity to positively influence students and help them reach their academic and career goals. I always try to encourage students of all ages to establish solid study habits and keep a positive attitude. That is the first step in reaching a target, in class and in life. My hobbies and interests include playing billiards, camping, and spending time with family.
