ExperienceFor over three years, I have been working as a tutor with high school and college students. My past students have considered me to be motivational and passionate. Test results are important when it comes to discovering how well a student is doing under a tutor, but there is also much more that can be taken away from tutoring sessions. My methods are always changing in order to give students the attention and success they deserve. However, I always stick to employing positive reinforcement along with critical assessments of the student's work. Building confidence is key to long term success. I am available to tutor in Spanish, essay writing, and humanities, though my specialty lies within high level mathematics. I can also assist in college application processes, if needed.I attended the University of California-Los Angeles, where I was an elected student representative. In this position, I worked as an academic advisor and tutor, and I had the opportunity to offer my opinion in staff meetings on various issues. Outside of school, I have been fortunate enough to work as an organizer within my community. I work with low-wage mothers to advise them on various topics, such as workplace rights and planning events. When I am not tutoring, I spend much of my free time enjoying new experiences. Whether it's food, cultures, languages, or just meeting new people, I am open to all opportunities to interact with something new to me. I also enjoy reading, running, and spending time with cats.
HobbiesReader, runner, and cat lover. Try new foods, meet new people, and explore different cultures. Learning languages, current events. Community service and student leadership!!
