First and foremost, tutoring is a way for students to either get ahead or keep up with the material that is being taught at school. As a tutor, my responsibility is to help students succeed in the classroom. Therefore, it is necessary for me to begin each tutoring session with questions about what my student is struggling with at school. Only then can I make an assessment about where my student needs to improve, and how I am going to get he or she ready for the classes to come. While earning my undergraduate degree, I tutored high school students in math and English. I also taught college courses in English for two years at my alma mater, Biola University. I have a bachelor's in communications from Biola and a Juris Doctor degree that I obtained at Chapman University. In light of my experience with the LSAT and other standardized tests, I am also willing to help students excel in these areas. I am currently a practicing lawyer. I gain a great sense of fulfillment from being a representative for the system that provides structure to our society. In particular, I am a law clerk and public defender. My hobbies include reading and going to the playhouse.
