I am a junior public policy major, specializing in health and population & urban/environmental policy, at the University of California, Riverside 4.0 GPA

Experience

My passion resides in teaching, mentoring, and helping other students succeed. I have done writing and math tutoring at my church and in my schools. One of my research abstracts has been published in a collection of works (HTCC 2016). I have done biomedical research under a professor in the UCR School of Medicine. In addition, I am currently working on a new research project in the field of public health. Beyond academia, I am shadowing a family medicine doctor and I am an intern at the Riverside University Health System. Besides English, I am also proficient in Spanish and Cantonese. All these experiences have exposed me to diverse cultures and people. I have assisted students of all levels from all walks of life in the process of reaching their full potential in the areas of reading, writing, and speaking.

Hobbies

I do a variety of volunteer work, including educational outreach at my church and public service in my community. I am a member of Toastmasters, an organization that seeks to help its constituents with their communication and presentation skills. I enjoy traveling and exercising, specifically weight lifting. I also occasionally play team-based video games competitively.
