Hello! My name is Loren and I am a lucky husband and father of three children (7yoGirl, 8yoGirl, and 20yoBoy), I've worked as an EMT for my entire adult life, later moving into Management on the Clinical as well as the Educational side. I currently volunteer three days a week as a Judo Instructor for Special Needs & Typical Children at a Police Activity League dojo in Riverside. I enjoy spending time with my wife and children, where I like to keep abreast with whatever my children are doing, playing, reading, or watching, and secretly trying to get them to like Star Trek and American Classical Literature! I read quite a bit, and do my utmost to stay current with changes in the field of Emergency Medicine. I believe in dressing professionally, and I prefer to meet with students someplace open and public like a library or even a Starbucks. I'm a firm believer that to be an effective tutor, the experience must be personalized to the student. The problems presented in a relatable manner to that student's interests and goals, and the answers easily found through creative uses of similar examples until we can find the needed breakthrough together.
